| What is Box Trapper? What are the Forward/White/Black/Ignore Lists? Overview
The cPanel BoxTrapper allows you to activate e-mail verification for those not on your white list. This means that any mail address that is not placed on your white list will be required to send back a verification mail to ensure that they are not a spammer. This function can be quite useful in preventing automatic mailings that you do not wish to receive from reaching your inbox.
Steps
1- To access the Mail Menu, click on the icon above the word Mail on the main screen of your cPanel interface.
2- Click on BoxTrapper Spam Trap.
3- To enter the BoxTrapper menu, click on the word Manage.
4- Click on the button labelled Enable to enable the BoxTrapper.
Forward List -- The forward list is a list of email address where white listed and verified mail should be sent to in addition to the address BoxTrapper is protecting.
White List -- is a list that YOU make of all your known Emailers whose Email you WILL accept. Having them on your White List assures that their Email will reach your inbox without interception.
Ignore List -- is a list of Emailers that YOU create who do NOT have permission to send their Email to you. Their Email will not be delivered.
Black List -- is again a list of Emailers that YOU create who do NOT have permission to send their Email to you. Their Email will be rejected. Additionally, they will be sent a warning Email.
