What is the difference between parked domains and addon domains?

Here is a brief explanation of the difference between a parked domain and an add-on domain:

A parked domain is a domain name that points to your main Web site on your account (ex. if trucks.com is your main Web site, you can purchase the trucks.net and park it so that if a visitor were to type trucks.net they would see the same Web site as if they had typed trucks.com).

An add-on domain allows you to have two separate Web sites on your account that share the space. You can have a trucks.com and then a horse.com as an add-on domain. The horse.com would be a completely separate Web site and visitors would not know that it is part of your trucks.com account.
